Your Nash and Mia cosplay is FANTASTIC. <3 You guys are some of the best Lunar cosplayers around, I always look forward to the next costume!! :D

So a friend of mine cosplays as Jean, and her boyfriend is the only human Nall cosplayer I know. (His picture is in this thread, actually.) They want me to cosplay with them and a group of friends. We're going to do an Eternal Blue group. However, I don't know which Lunar lady I should cosplay. I'm between Lemina or Mauri, but I don't know if either of them would be a good choice for me. X_x So I'm asking you guys, who do you think I should cosplay from Lunar 2??

I see you more as a Mauri than as a Lemina, thinking about face structure. (I'm no expert, and could be way off here.) I also think it's silly to try to match exactly, since the skin tone is rather fickle, and other features aren't exactly typical or realistic. You could get away with either. So you're right, it's tough to think of someone really fitting for you from Lunar 2... but that may not be a bad thing. ^_~

What are the other options?
Jean
Fake Althena
Miria
Human Ruby*

...Is that it?

*Well... theoretically anyhow.

Thanks for the advice guys! <33
And Kiz, she already does the dancer Jean, so I would have to do the karate Jean. :D
Anyway, I guess we decided on doing Lemina for me. But I still would like to do Mauri in her civilian dress as seen in her bromide. Maybe next time! :3

The Japanese creator types were talking about the Mia and Nash photos on Twitter a few weeks back. Hiromi Hosoe (Lunar 2 novel writer) pointed them out, and Kei Shigema (head writer) and Akari Funato (manga artist, animator) commented on how good they were. Small world, isn't it?

Hi everyone. Long time no see.

I had this thought recently and it regards the armor of DragonMaster Alex. If the armor were to be made for cosplay purposes, would it be possible to make it out of foam and vinyl (I REFUSE to use fiberglass for this one)? Just a thought for the future. And I already have the helmet figured out.

It seems kind of lonely in this thread, so I thought I'd post a progress pic of my Dragon Master helm. It's completely blank right now, but when the warm weather gets here, that will no longer be a problem.

Not a bad start, IMHO.

It's been two months and here is what I have of the helmet. I decided to seal the thing in fiberglass resin and prime it, then paint and seal. It was an 80-degree day so I saw it as a great opportunity. I had to wing it with the jewel part since I made it bulge out.

But anyway, here it is.

Thanks. I guess what I'm trying to do is create a clean slate with my Lunar cosplays, since they've been less than perfect. Hopefully, I can start fresh with this.

Cool! Though, on a very hot day like this, just imagining wearing that makes me sweat in sympathy. XD Are you going to any cons with it?

I understand. If I took pictures outside like this, I would end up in the hospital. I plan on wearing this at Wizard World Chicago 2011. Luckily, there is air conditioning inside of the convention center. I like how light it feels. Though I may need a bigger belt for the waist since the front piece is so wide.
