Would anyone like to have the Lucia resin kit?
I actually have her. This really nice lady in Canada sold the kit to me for $70. I thought that was a real still since it's so hard to find and I have no idea how to operate on the Yahoo Japan auction site. I was thinking of having recasts done of her. Would anyone be interested?

Just need the stuff
I just need to get it set up for some recasting and I'll be sure to let everyone know about it. I'll get a camera and post some pics of what the pieces look like. I figured a lot of peeps would jump off a bridge for this kit so I haven't done anything with her.

Well, with an old rare model like that, it's not like we could brag about having recasts. I've seen recasts of some really rare models go for sale at measly prices (well, probably due to a poor recasting job/cheap materials or the fact that no one will buy them for anything more) while the original boxed model can exceed 200-500 bucks depending on it's rarity, sometimes even more. If professionally painted it'll at least be nice for display, but for real collectors a recast just doesn't compare, especially since the original will always be more highly detailed, have it's box and insterts included, etc...
At least, I know I won't be able to rest until I'm sitting with the real thing. Only one I've ever seen for sale though was the Mia kit... Anyways, I doubt Chiriku is gonna go on an eBay bonanza and hock these things off to unsuspecting fans. At least, I hope s/he won't

bingo! That's Lucia! The only other place I've seen the other two is here. Grr, I hate it when they only make limited quantity stuff.GhaleonOne wrote:This is what you're talking about right?

Yeah, I'm just complaining because I hadn't heard yet whether I'd gotten the one I was after and had been hoping I could soon announce that I would be. I got the email this morning saying that I didn't. I was also extremely exhausted and grumpy. Anyway, it is a really nice, generous thing to do, and until I get a real one I suppose it would be nice to have a...reproduction?

BTW, Chiriku, I know very little about resin kits, as I've never actually seen one. Do they come apart kind of like models? That's what I'm assuming from your posts. If you do end up taking pictures of it, would you mind if I put them up on that same page I linked a moment ago? You'd be credited, of course.
