I think it's a preorder incentive, I went into a local game crazy and they had it, he said they had 0 preorders so he just gave me the demo.

Dragon Quest 8

I picked up for the demo for Dragon Quest VIII US today, it'm pretty impressed if Lunar were done in 3D this is definitely howi t should look from a design standpoint, considering its a console style RPG with a light feel I really think a lot of fans of the Lunar series would really enjoy it. It loo...

We did meet up eventually, with several other WDMB folks -- CEGhaleon, Jess5, Radhil, and zq (who was with me). I remember also shaking hands with Rapier, but that was a very brief meeting. We didn't spend a huge amount of time with Chris, though. I spent a lot of time with Chris, and obviously Rap...

I can't believe I forgot about Chris, even though I met him there and we exchanged rather a lot of voicemails trying to meet up. I was with Chris much of the 2001 E3. So had that occured you likely would have met me as well. Blah, I just realized you said you met him there (I thought you said you w...

Its Japanese release was in 94, so it's closer to 11 in my book.

The N64 will be 10 next Summer, the Sega Dreamcast will be 7 this November. How time flies.

Yeah, I remember that. It's how I got my second Nall. In one of the photos Borgan is choking it (him?). I don't remember if it took one try or two, though. My parents found us in line for the machine, which was funny since they hadn't told me they might show up. D'oh, I forgot to quote the post I'm...

Yeah. He was no longer at WD by E3 2001. I went in 2001 and 2002 (and this year), but of course Borgan was only at 2001's. I've no idea if (Borgan) made an appearance in 1999, but I wouldn't think so given that it was around SSSC's release, while in 2000 the EBC demo had just come out. Last I heard...

Yeah, though I think Borgan was at two E3s, since Zach played him at one and the first E3 I went to was after he and WD had parted ways. NallOne, I would happily buy that Japanese pendant off you. Could throw in a Saturn EB game and perhaps a non-trashed game box or two... It was likely 2000 (or ev...

I've never really been able to find anything along the lines of soundtracks, artbooks, etc.

Check ebay, anime shops, Yahoo Auctions Japan if you know someone in Japan the sellers will ship to.

What was this? Did they give it an unfair review?

They aparently didn't complete the game all the way through infuriating Victor Ireland.

Thanks for the info. The last time I knew gamefan was still around was probably 3 years ago. They were having problems though because I subscribed and recieved maybe 3 magazines at the most and never got another magazine. I knew a few other people that had the same problem. At that time they still ...

A few more notes, GameFan was originally called Die Hard Game Fan. It was originally produced as the newsletter for the Die Hard Game Club chain of import stores. After a legal dispiute with Sears over the name Die Hard (which Sears puts on a number of products) the magazine dropped the Die Hard nam...

Further notes, with a little help from Kizyr I have completed the games first dungeon. Here are some other impressions. The overworld areas are nice with a decent amount of areas to explore, it is VERY similar to Grandia 1 in this sense, the same goes with dungeons. For those who aren't aware this g...

Hmmm, I could have sworn that I read in school that there was something like a VCP... but I guess I was wrong. Lunar Genesis Impressions (may be some spoilers)

I finally recieved Lunar Genesis today (along with my copy of PS2 Dragon Force). Upon getting my copy I check ed to see if I was fortunate enough to recieve one of those cool cloth screen wipes, unfortunately my copy ordered from NCSX.com did not ;(. The packaging is nice and there are several inser...

Apparently Ken Katarugi (sp?) also has a very conceited view concerning PlayStation versus other consoles. I forget what part of Sony he commands, but he is the head of something in Sony Japan. Forgive my lack of info, but I remember reading quite a few "I get what I want, and my system is better" ...

Re: A lovely shade, in fact

I've been hearing about 30-35 hours for completing the game, although I'm sure it'd be longer if you're muddling through not understanding what any of the characters are saying. That sets it at about the same level as TSS my first time through, or perhaps a little less than SSS. Heh, that's good en...
