Re: Lunar Remastered Collection Dropping on April 18!
I'm still debating whether to get a physical edition or not. I'll most likely buy for Switch and then wait for a sale to get it digitally for PC too.

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
I decided to pick up Final Fantasy XIII and play it. I missed it on release because I didn't have the PS3 or XB360. I'm in chapter 6 so far - really good! It's unlike the Lunar titles in a lot of ways, including how most of the party characters can't stand one another and seem very reluctant to coop...

Re: Lunar Remastered new kubooka cover artwork
I cycle through every few days and notice another character I like. Right now, I love the way Alex is looking outward rather than to center, as well as Lemina's upright pose, head cocked and winking.
It looks great to me.

Re: Victor Ireland will allow the use of dubbing in remasters
Does anyone else find it difficult to parse stories like this? I understand what's literally being said by the different parties, but GungHo is understandably not commenting much on this. Stigile's comments seem to address a concern over ownership but not in a clear way. As for Ireland, it's hard to...

Re: Remastered collection should have extras?
I'd want a gallery of promotional artworks, trailers, commercials, etc. I'm expecting it'll just be the games themselves though. I like this idea too. I have looked at both the remasters for Legend of Mana and SaGa Frontier in the last few days. (I already played LoM; just got SaGa Frontier.) They ...

Re: Grand replay of the entire series
^ I wouldn't want you to have to exhaustively go through the script for the ways jokes are translated, but even a few examples for how a joke seems to be rendered would be interesting to me from a translation perspective. I'm personally curious about that thanks to my recent work reading literary tr...

Re: Remastered collection should have extras?
I thought the addition of the scene in Lunar Silver Star Harmony was pretty neat, and I wouldn't mind seeing a descaled/PS1 version of it, even as an optional extra.

The vocals were good! I just relistened to the Boat Song. I like the new lyrics, and the singing quality was good too. No, it's not the words I was singing in my head, but that's OK.
Also, the Android/iOS version has Japanese tracks if the change in the English version bothers you.

Re: The Grindery is Real
LOTR did have siege towers. They roll up to Minas Tirith and open their gangplanks onto the walls of the first level. The Total War game series also sometimes features them. Historical ones weren't as far-traveling as the Grindery. Armies would usually construct them near the site of a siege since i...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
I finally beat Baldur's Gate III after a year-long hiatus. I think the structure and pacing of Act 3 (in actual Baldur's Gate) goes way downhill. They pack so much into that act, but with very little sense of pathing, so I end up having to do a lot of back and forth, backtracking, and saying, "...

Re: Lunar Remastered!
I have so many mixed feelings about this. There are so many things that could be improved... For sure there is room for improvement. Foremost on my mind is script touch-up, which there isn't evidence of in the trailer. If this is like the Grandia remaster, I'm not sure they'll improve much beyond g...

Re: Lunar Remastered! Coming Spring 2025 on the PS5!
Very nice! Playing the Japanese SCD Lunar 2, and then the Android version of Lunar 1, has made me want to go back to the PS1 Lunar 2 again. I'd been thinking next winter or summer break would be a good time to go back, and then this news drops. This is huge. I've been hoping GungHo would do this sin...

Re: Victor Ireland the enemy of Lunar fans
What if Victor Ireland knew that this was in the early stages of being put together, and he waved people off of getting the Mega Drive Mini 2 just for Lunar because he knew another English version was in the pipeline? There is absolutely no evidence for that, but I am amused how this story is now ir...

^ I just saw the patch go through! I'll try out the path controls soon.
And thanks for mentioning the controller support. I've never played games much on mobile, so I've never thought of actually using a controller. It's good to know that support is there.

Yes! I snagged Vay on Android. So far it has been pretty easy. I only know Pottle from some people here talking about Vay long ago.

^ That's a pretty impressive list of games to beat. And I get what you're saying about social media. These days the only social media I frequent is Reddit, and even there I've taken a big step back since last year (no big/default subreddits). I'm on a couple of discords with friends, but that's pret...

This is really, really cool. I've been too busy to comment, but I hope you're saving this stuff in a few different places. In addition to what you're working on, it'd be invaluable to anyone messing around with save files or doing something more intensive.

Finally playing on Android
When the Android version of Touch came out, I was excited and fully intended to play it, but I realized after release that my phone was too old. I searched for ways to play it, but I had no luck. I was thwarted from playing a 25+ year old game by my sticking with a 6 year old phone. After my old pho...

Re: Silver Star Theories: Life, Death, and Rebirth of Althena
It's an interesting set of thoughts but doesn't line up with how Althena has been portrayed. So, near the beginning, you ask why it's necessary for Althena to periodically reincarnate as a human. I don't think it's presented as necessity. Lucia doesn't have to do this, for instance. Instead, I've al...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?
Oh yeah, I also just finished Infinite Wealth after almost 80 hours. I also loved it. I'm curious where the extra play time comes from, WD. I did almost all of Kasuga's side quests, all of second protagonist's memory missions, everyone's heart links, completed many but not all of the games (didn't g...
