Re: The Hobbit geenlit.
I'm bitter. Very, very bitter. I live in a world where I will never see a faithful adaptation to The Hobbit, meaning I will never have an alternative to Peter Hackson's drivel. I'm going to be very, very bitter for a very, very long time. I understand if others are more forgiving than me, but don't ...

Welp, any thoughts now that the films are finished?
Mine: what a butchery and a waste of perfectly good material. Jackson and co should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks. Actually, now that you mention dissecting your reasons for liking EB more, you have me curious. What is your take on what makes EB more enjoyable?

Re: Pier Solar HD
I hated this game. It's just a hunk of retro chunk that fails to compare even to the RPGs of the time it is supposed to be based on. It moves along as slowly as a snail swimming through tar. About eight hours in, I've accomplished very little as opposed to the real RPGs of the SNes/Sega Gen.

Yes, because they're just fiction. In the grand schemes of things, they don't matter.

In other words, Hell will have an ice rink before we see another Lunar: Eternal Blue.

I know it's late to be replying to this, but I just want to hop in and point out that just about everything is overrated when it comes down to it.

Re: Lunar 2: something got lost from Lunar 1?
I might not be as elegant in my manner of "speaking" as some of you other guys, but I can think of a couple things that make me leant owards LUNAR 1 over 2 (but I love both). Yes, the scope of LUNAR 2 is great, yes there is more character development, yes a number of the tropes from the fi...

Re: A tiny itty bit of hope!!
Out of curiosity, why does Lunar 2 tend to be so ignored in a series that doesn't have many games to begin with?

And I just remembered that it is a private part of that forum, sorry: first post: A few days ago wikileaks released the secret negotiated draft text for the entire TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) Intellectual Property Rights Chapter. The treaty which is currently being negotiated behind closed doors...

Point taken, Werefrog, but not all my writing is of this nature. I usually write fiction.

Re: Recap of Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings
You don't know any of the people who have commented before or who has read and commented, so you're not really in any position to make that judgment, are you? Correction, why you don't think it works. You can insist that I don't touch on the direction, lighting, and music (I DID touch on the music) ...

Re: Recap of Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings
That's not true at all. There is always more to say. No, there isn't. Look at the film. If I start talking about camera work and what not, it really would just be me repeating the same things I've said about it over and over again. Going through the film and noting the editing and camera work would...

Re: Recap of Ralph Bakshi's The Lord of the Rings
I DID provide context. I did explain why shoddily done scenes were shoddyily done. Why is marching band music bad? It's not in and of itself, but as a constant sound in the background of a movie no matter what the tone of the scene to supposed to be? Actually, I said plenty about the work, itself. T...
