Lunar Fan Merch
I don't know if anybody ever shared this here, but I was just thinking about it and how much I wish I had gotten one. https://thewindsnocturne.com/products/lunar-the-silver-star-luna-enamel-pin It also got me thinking about my own interest in pin-making and I proud I'd be if I made something Lunar-r...

Re: Victor Ireland the enemy of Lunar fans
I'm disappointed about what happened with the Genesis Mini 2, but I don't see any point in blaming Mr. Ireland for not wanting to give out his rights for small change.
Maybe if they did the sort of charm offensive that apparently went on in Japan we wouldn't have ended up in this spot.

Re: Lunar tss famicom version?
It would be fascinating if there was such a bootleg since they're usually pretty bonkers, but no such luck, I guess. The title on Uncyclopedia is 露娜銀河之星 - Looks like Luna Milky Way Star. I love it when Japanese helps you figure out Chinese (but I guess I shouldn't pat myself on the back too much sin...

It's great to see Somoga still invested in a game that they put on the market so long ago. It does make me hopeful that they might expand their catalog.

Re: Hi all! Back again, missing old times.
It's great to have you back! Can you believe that Lunar DS came out in 2005?? There is anniversary math there that I am reluctant to do for fear of feeling old, haha. 90s JRPGs were something special. As much as people analyze and try to reproduce their good qualities, there was something novel abou...

Re: Hi, Hope Everyone is Doing Well!
Im glad to be back in touch! I've missed our discussions so if you remember what it was I'll be keeping an eye out...hopefully I'm not too rusty on Lunar lore! I'm really thinking about breaking out the Lunar 2 remake or something to knock off the cobwebs, except that I finally got around to Disco E...

Re: Favorite Dialogue (By Category?)
This one has been stuck in my head for a long time, because:
1) It's from a cut scenario so bringing it up is a flex.
2) What a dad-ism! And he's not half as much of a team dad in the original as he is in the remake.

Hi, Hope Everyone is Doing Well!
Shame on me, I haven't posted since the start of the pandemic! Very busy, yadda yadda...but I'm getting convinced that fandoms should support their forums more, since social media feels so busted and invasive these days, and I want to support that if I can.
Hope to catch up with you soon!

Re: Lunar reference
ToD is a weird game - it's almost like two plots bolted together. And the second one is admittedly not as involving as the first. But it's still my favorite of the Tales games I've played too. Maybe because it has a whole bunch of worldbuilding pretty much just for grins? Or because the characters a...

Re: Mega CD Lunar Eternal Blue (Not For Resale) Demo
I remember poking around a rom of this once - besides the portraits, some of the music used in the background isn't in the final game, but you can hear it on the Prelude drama CD. There wasn't much low-hanging fruit for non-tech person like me, but I bet there are some interesting things under the h...

Re: Japanese name/reference for Magic Tester?
I know of a reference in TSS, and which is retained in English. The Vane Magic School honor roll is made up of references to TV witch characters. Westerners may recognize Samantha of Bewitched, which was a hit in Japan and a forerunner to the magical girl genre. Most of the others are the title char...

Lost Song Reminded Me of Lunar
I stumbled across this promotional image and was strongly reminded of artwork for Silver Star Harmony. https://static.next-episode.net/tv-shows-images/huge/lost-song.jpg I watched a bit of it, and that planet in the sky? It appears in backgrounds in the show for some fantasy flair (to the best of my...

That looks great! A lot about the design in the animations is pretty nonstandard, I'm sure - my (limited) understanding is that the general instrument shape can vary a lot, but triangle holes just sounds like a being weird for its own sake.
I hope you'll keep us apprised of your progress!

Re: What Anime do you like
I used to be obsessed with anime growing up, but i slowly started to lose my interest because of the amount of unneeded fan service. There were other reasons as well, but now i only watch a small select few when I am in the mood...As for sitting down and checking out new animes...Sadly my spark is ...

Re: If you are struggling with the Gynephobia and Pure Odio bosses in Live-A-Live I have a solution
Thanks for the tips! I did a test run against the final boss, died, did some grinding in the character dungeons...and then never went back for a rematch. This is a unique and noteworthy game and I really should see it through to the end. Which chapter did you like best? I have to give a lot of props...

I have a hunch that some of this is a form of actor allusion. Do you direct Mamma Mia if you aren't, in fact, interested in ABBA?Sonic# wrote:Camp

Well maybe you do, but this fills me with joy anyway.
