I felt the same way. Quite disappointing. :(

Re: *Announcement* Gamers' Choice Awards

Too bad the theme is kinda lame. It's just the "vote for these games" screen. I had hoped for a real SSH theme...

Re: The Wallpaper Thread

There are a couple of other ways you can run Linux to try it out without nuking your existing installation. Other than the live CD or installing on a separate hard disk or creating a new disk partition, there is Wubi , which lets you install on the same disk partition as Windows and lets you choose ...

On Linux it can. Or more precisely, you can script the Linux wallpaper manager (depending on various technical details I won't get into here) to do funky stuff.

Re: The Wallpaper Thread

I made a few updates to mine. I wrote a quick XML script that cycles through all the wallpapers in a certain folder, changing it every 12 hours. It's similar to my last setup, except I wanted to fill in the blank space in the lower-right with something: That image changes to a different astronomy-r...

Re: Preserving Lunar

Personally, as long as general purpose computers exist, I doubt emulation will be a problem. The core code for emulating CPUs is pretty much done, and much of them are portable across operating systems -- so even if you can't get your emulator to run on Windows, for example, it will certainly run on...

Re: Happy Belated Valentines Day!

Picked up my new car on V-day. Bummed about having a new car payment, but I got my money's worth out of the old car (it lasted for 7+ years and over 184k miles).

Re: Happy Belated Valentines Day!

http://twitter.com/shigema/ Another thing - as of this writing there's chatter going on about another Lunar 2 remake, and Shigema tweets that he'd really like to do what he terms a "Mega CD respect version". I'm not really sure what that means, but I am sure I want it. Thanks! Y...

   Win. Complete Valentines win. BTW, our friend Shigema tweeted Lunar-related Valentines stories recently about how back in the TSS days he single-handedly ate all the chocolate Kikuko Inoue (Luna's VA) sent to the team. But the rest of the team found out and they've never let him l...

Re: ZOMG! Fairies do exist! Member Picture Thread #...4?

They say a man in pink is a sign of confidence. :D I guess that makes me a fraud. I remember reading that up until the 1920's or so pink was considered a masculine color for boys/young men as it was a lighter version of red, which was considered a very "manly" color. No idea why it change...

Re: A little audio clip

That works for Dragon Force?! Sweet!!! Yeah, I tried this on the Sega CD years ago. Lunar, Spiderman, and Ecco all found their way into my CD player. In fact, I've probably played the Ecco games more as CDs than as game disks over all this time. Never thought about any other systems, though... Drag...
