I think a lot of that depends on what I expect from a book/trilogy/miniseries/etc.. In the case of His Dark Materials, I thought the series ended well. Of course writing more books with the same worlds would be interesting, but they resolved the story to my satisfaction. I'm trying to think of an ex...

I've been reading Arthur C. Clarke's The Songs of Distant Earth. Also been occasionally looking at Isaac Asimov's Only a Trillion (about 50 years out of date, but still hilarious despite and because of it) and Henry James's Dubliners.

Oh, yes! I've downloaded some from ocremix, and do more from time to time. My favorite Lunar one at the moment is Orange October (Lunar 2), by QuinnFox. Otherwise, I feel really strongly about a few of the Earthbound ones, like the Dreaming on Distant Shores one by Rellik, and the ones by Spekkosaur...
