Re: Finally beat it.
One alternative: these days I would investigate it through a Let's Play. Most times I love getting my hands on a game and figuring it out from the inside, but having done so already I view actually playing the game as an exercise of discipline I'd rather spend elsewhere. Btter to watch in half-hour...

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty
Sorry about that. I still don't trust these people to leave fan sites like this be, though. I am aware that there are bigger problems in the bill than that.

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty
Alright, fine, they might leave this place alone, but my point is do you really want to take the risk? You know as well as I do that these people would have no qualms in barreling over LunarNet in overzealous internet control/censorship if this bill gets through. I don't exactly remember you arguing...

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty
I wouldn't put anything past these people, but even if this site is left alone, there are still a ton of other people online who will suffer dearly for no good reason at all if this passes. Not to mention that workers, seniors, and millions of others who wil be screwed by this thing.

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty
This is going into the House on June 2nd. I'm not kidding when I say they might shut down places like LunarNet for having copyrighted content. Contact your House Representatives before it is too late.

Re: Finally beat it.
The reason I pushed back with such force to begin with is because you, Alunissage, just had to go on the offensive when I said: "I have difficulty believing that a product made by a professional company that hired professional programmers could have turned out this bad if they gave a hoot."...

Alright, I'll drop it. I don't plan on changing Alunissage or anyone else, I just don't like the feeling that the other person in the conversation thinks they're better than me.

Re: Finally beat it.
Leo: Given that my purpose is not to prove anything to you but to have a good conversation about what might have gone wrong with Dragon Song, you will remain unconvinced and without proof for your own stance. As far as I am concerned, the only proof I need is the game, itself, and it speaks several ...

Re: Finally beat it.
@ all: in any case, unless any of you can prove that they cared, my stance is unchanged. I don't care if the assumption that they "didn't give a hoot" is insulting. They deserve to be thought of in that light for this slap in the face of a game. I'm not budging until you can prove they did...

Re: Finally beat it.
I have done no such thing. If you want me to believe that anyone on this project cared beyond getting that next paycheck, please provide some evidence. The ending alone is such a rush job that it leaves one under the impression that the developers were in as much of a hurry to get this over with as ...

Finally beat it.
I knew how it bad it was from its reputation, but I decided a while back that I wanted to have completed every game bearing the Lunar logo, so I pushed through (more like slammed my head against a brick wall until one or the other gave way) and eventually attained a very hollow victory. I have one q...

Re: New Star Wars
@Kyzyr: Well, to be fair, Darth Vader and the Emperor aren't exactly Shakespeare villains, either, so how well the new antagonists stand up to the franchise's gold standards can go either way at this point. Me, myself, I'm optimistic. Yes, it might very well suck, but just had a REALLY good trailer....

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty
This THING has just been reintroduced to the floor. If you value places like LunarNet, having paychecks good enough to live off of, and having environmental protection laws, I'd get on the phone with my representative if I were you.

Re: We need more fans.
^ And to hire clever marketers you need a bigger budget. Not necessarily. There are marketers out there who are downright skillful in bringing a lot of attention to a product for surprisingly little. Just throwing more money at something is not the do-all-be-all answer as corporations would have yo...

Re: We need more fans.
@Sonic: To which I say that happened because they didn't advertise smartly. It's not all about just throwing money around. It's all in how you play your cards. You need some advertising money, sure, but sometimes the real answer is in INTELLIGENT and clever advertising, which will get you farther th...
