If you're referring to the official strategy guide from Working Designs, I haven't checked, but it's certainly possible that it included screenshots from a pre-release version that hadn't gone through final script edits.

Well, I thought of some PSX reccomendations that haven't actually been mentioned yet. Xenogears is often bandied about in "greatest RPG of all time" lists. I tend to think it's overrated, but still worth playing. It got a greatest hits re-release, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. If you want to ...

...best line in the game. I love when Tellah gets mad, but I don't remember if they included it.

They kept the line.

The sad thing is that I made sure to check all the replies to make sure Grandia hadn't been mentioned yet. I just forgot to check the original request.

With that said.. I want a list of the greatest SNES and PSX RPGs ever made so I can try them out. Who knows? I might even actually -like- them haha :B Well, Growlanser is among the best games available for the PSX (or any system, for that matter), but it's also only available in Japanese, so if you...

My feelings for the Xbox 360 are essentially the same as those I have for any new console. I prefer not to buy systems at launch since they tend to be expensive and I wish to wait and see how good the software library shapes up.

I'm not far enough to have seen any of them, but apparently there are some new optional dungeons, and you can now switch in different party members for the final dungeon.

It's hard to say who I'd want to cast in a Lunar movie because I'm not all that good at remembering actors. Honestly, I'm not all that sure I'd want to see a Lunar movie. A live action one in particular might not be all that believable (certainly not without a huge budget).

Alun: Those avatars are on my other computer, which I won't have access to until January. For the time being, I'm using this Bad Andy avatar (don't ask me why I liked that ad campaign, even I'm not sure why). Think of it as a placeholder. And, yeah, I do post at the GameFAQs boards. Despite the prob...

Final Fantasy IV was always my favorite game in the series. I'd pick up a copy, but I have reason to believe my brother might get me one for Christmas.

After beating Growlanser III, wait for the credits to roll by and see a scene that reveals that the events in Grow III actually lead up to how Grow II starts. One neat thing about that scene is that its setting is very similar to that of the introductory scene of Growlanser I (for instance, you can...

I haven't seen the movie, but I always did enjoy the books. I read through each of them at least twice when I was younger. In regards to the religious symbolism, I don't remember how aware I was of it the first time I read the books, but I did notice it on my second reading. I do seem to recall read...

I found BoF 1 to be a really average RPG; not bad by any means, but not that great either. I didn't really bother with the series after that, but I picked up a copy of Dragon Quarter recently because several people (whose gaming opinions I tend to agree with) have had really good things to say about...

Well, my screen name is a Growlanser reference, so yes, you could say I like the series. It's too bad the first and fourth installments didn't make it to America, they're actually quite a bit better than II and III. They're better balanced, more challenging (GL4 is especially difficult), longer, etc...

Greetings!

Hello. I've been lurking here for some time, and figured it might be a good idea to go ahead and register. Actually, some of you may already "know" me from elsewhere. I post on a few other message boards, including the Working Designs Message Board under the username "Scrambler" (hopefully I haven't...
