Punk Rock music has been around since the 70s. Emo in its pure form, is a sub-genre of Punk Rock. The -Dragon Diamond- you see on MTV is not real Emo, though it doesn't matter because real Emo still sucks anyway. Emo =/= Punk. Punk's also too general of a term, because as with Metal, there are many different styles of Punk. That kid's haircut however, is not a punk thing, and I have many friends from the punk rock scene.

Thanks but im deff not emo. Emo these days just means your usually bi and are messed up about how much u think your life sucks that you cut yourself. and im deffenently not that. not to mention most emos dont die their hair. emo is a state of mind and punk is a style. At least find out what you're talking about before you go spouting out crap.
