J-j-j-JIN!
Oh yeah. Samurai Champloo is one of the best, hands-down. I'm so definitely buying up the full DVD box set when it's all out.
Catch it on Cartoon Network if you can. The voice dubbing might not be perfect, but the beat's still alive. No doubt about it, Samurai Champloo will be the best anime brought out stateside this year.
EDIT: I really hope they keep the opening theme. It's done by a really good Japanese-American rap artist, Shing02. He has a couple other great songs in Japanese and English that y'all should check out sometime... well, the English ones; meaning is important in his songs so listen to what you'll understand. Personally, I liked Pearl Harbor myself, a collaboration he did with Bas-1.
Yeah so I'm rambling on here. I'll quit. KF

Gotta go with Kenshin. Much as I like Jubei, (at least, Movie Jubei) and Jin, Kenshin doesn't always take himself as seriously. Besides, theres not much better then seeing Sanoske, the little kid, and him getting beat up by Miss Ayumi.

Out of those three Kenshin but he's not the best samurai ever so I can't really vote for him. Personally I thought Saito was a cooler samurai in that series anyway.

Ah yes... depending on what sort of person you are, a lot of folks prefer Mugen over Jin. Mugen has that instinctive, emotional style, where he fights on intuition and lets his training come from that. Jin has the strict, disciplined method.ToLazy2Sit wrote:Dude, I'm doing th exact same thing... but my favorite guy is Mugen...
Me, I prefer the disciplined style. I still think what Jin said in the first episode applies: Mugen has too many wasted moves, too many openings. Sure he covers them up, but he leaves a lot more room for error. Fighter-wise, they might be equal... but as for a samurai, well, I have to prefer Jin. KF

I don't think Jubei deserves the title of Samurai. The anime's called Ninja Scroll, not Samurai Scroll...so as 'best samurai' goes, he certainly can't win. He isn't a Samurai. Now, if it were a best Ninja contest, that's something else again.
Pity ya don't have good old Samurai Jack up there, though.

Don't blame me, Lucia promised me lots of snuggles and cuddles if I would be her PR guy.
Kenshin all the way!
Kenshin kicks every other samurais butt without even trying alot of the time. He just has that ability. He has enough enemys to prove it as well...

Now, the question is raised for me. What constitutes the ultimate samurai? Is it just being the best fighter, the most devout in Bushido, the best feudal lord? As far as fighting goes, and I know I'm going to get gawked at for saying this, but I've only seen Jin and Jubei and not Kenshin, and so I'd have to give it to Jin.
