From the very image of the Vipers standing over Beatrix Kiddo, to the dividing the movie into chapters to the revenge storyline and the badass'd heroine of the movie.. Tarantino seriously robbed this film.

Pretty good, pretty bloody movie I guess. If you can find it, watch it.

I wouldn't say 'robbed' any more than George Lucas 'robbed' Star Wars from Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress. KF

:? I thought the whole point of Kill Bill was to pay tribute to all those action movies that Tarantino grew up on. I don't think he was trying to steal from them.

It is a tribute / homage. Just folks sometimes get all uppity about everything having to be new and original, they mistake influence for stealing. There's too much of a plagiarism fear around here that it gets crippling at times. KF

In the "Behind the Scenes" featurette on Kill Bill Vol. 1, Tarantino cites Lady Snowblood as a major influence. I'd definitely like to watch it some day.
