I believe what you say is true Jenn, and men arn't doing too well either.
It's a shame that love alone can't be enough, though obviously this day in age it seems to be more of a forced truth than anything.
Not sure what's worse, living unsure if you'll be competent enough to have a lasting relationship, or living through life unsure if you'll even find someone. Yikes.
Dear ladies of the board.... a question about dating

I still say that even though we need more than love to live, that does not mean "true love" does not exsist. I mentioned it before (heck I think one of my ealier posts went rather lengthy in regards to this) but society as a whole has become so dependant on money that is consumes people. Like Jenner said... lots of bad eggs in this world (on both sides men can be just as bad as women and vice versa), but one needs not to give up hope. Pickings may be slim, but that makes the success of finding someone all that much sweeter.

I enjoy this point of view. I also think that we aren't doing as badly as she probably thinks. For instance, I believe the crime rate is actually DOWN, but through watching the news you'd never know it. The News changes our perception of the world as a horrible place full of horrible people when it isn't as bad as you'd think.YoshiMars wrote:I still say that even though we need more than love to live, that does not mean "true love" does not exsist. That could be... but I have a very cynical view when it comes to corporations and corporate America. Money is a very touchy subject to me, and while it is unfortunately necessary for life here, it's hard to believe in something that has money placed over the value of people and their lives. Though I suspect that may be my cynicism talking again.Benevolent_Ghaleon wrote:I enjoy this point of view. I also think that we aren't doing as badly as she probably thinks.
