OK, so some of you may remember a certain game coming out about a year and a half ago called JFK: Reloaded, in which the intent was to reenact the JFK assassination and depedning on the accuracy of the shots, as well as the timing compared to that of the actual event you would be graded and given a score out of 1000.

All distatefulness aside, this game is awesome, and since the company stopped producing it, it has become abandonware and free for download. It is a great test in bullet physics, the way bullets move through people as well as ragdoll character physics.

Essentially if you made the characters into fictional people, not even a president few people would have a problem with it, however since it reenacts a sensitive event in American History I can understand disgust with such a game existing.

The following pieces of photographic evidence substantiate my claim that this game is fun, and my enjoyment is actually not derived at all from the assassination part, but instead causing mayhem by shooting drivers in arms and legs getting them to swerve into large hills or other objects which creates the following:

If you are at all interested the Wikipedia article on "JFK Reloaded" has a link for download. I will warn you though, there can be at least one graphic part involved in shooting JFK. If you have seen the Zapruder film you know what I mean. They made sure to recreate that part as well as could be. But it's no worse than any kind of death you can create on games like GTA.

Wasn't one of the big points of JFK: Reloaded to prove that the "magic bullet" shot from Oswald was technically impossible?

I.E., he couldn't a) have reloaded in time to fire all three shots at the car (and one at the curb), and b) have had an angle that would've hit the President in the head the way is seen on the Zapruder film. KF

It doesn't surprise me that they stopped making it (putting aside the fact that it's about assasinating a president). You can't make a game where all you do is shoot one person and it's over. Nobody likes games that end as quickly as you start them. There isn't any fun in that.

You mean like in Family Guy?

Peter: Boy, I haven't seen aiming suck liek that since Harvey Oswald (or something along those lines)

*Flashback*

Oswald: HEY MR. PRESIDENT! YOU ROCK! I VOTED FOR YOU! Wait, what's that? Some guy on the grassy knoll with a gun? Oh my god, he's gonna kill the president! *pulls out sniper gun* Alright, time for me to be a hero, yes sir, I'm gonna save you live Mr. President....

That was from Family Guy Episode 424: Sibling Rivalry.

I was under the impression that it was the opposite, i.e. that the game was trying to show that Oswald could have acted alone.

Proball to prove.

It was probaly to prove. On the discovery channel they said it was possible for him to make the shots and reload. I still doubt it was Oswald though.
