Meeting Hideo Kojima EDIT: Now with pic spam
Last night, I went from work straight to New York to the Virgin Megastore for the midnight launch of Metal Gear Solid 4. Why did I do this? Because Hideo Kojima was there signing autographs. That's right, the man himself!
I arrived at about 7:30PM and there were already about 200-300 people all lined up along the sidewalks. In the end, I think about 450-500 people came in all. Most of us played DS or PSP while we waited to get in. Once the line started moving it was nice, but very slow moving. The session started at 12:00AM, but I didn't get up to the front for a signature until close to 2:00AM. The was the usual unrest with regards to the line never moving fast enough, but I found the whole event to be well organized, especially once you got inside. I had him sign my Metal Gear Solid slip case (the re-release that came with the Trilogy set. I lost my old PSX jewel case with the black border and I didn't want him signing the Greatest Hits one because of that god awful green color!). He was very nice when he signed it (for everyone in front of me as well).

Thats so cool! New York looks swell! Are you one of the guys dressed up? I was thinking about getting the game myself just for the reason of having it. My ps3 never gets any use so it might be fun. Is it more of a shooter than anything else? I'm not such a fan of those. The closest to a shooter that I enjoyed was Dirge of Cerberus but that was only because its Final fantasy 7. Thats cool that you stood in line for so long! I stood in line for ps2 for 5 hours and I wasn't even getting a ps2! Even so... props to you! Thanks for sharing all the pictures!!

I've never even played a Metal Gear game before but I've always wanted to. But there are a lot of games so I just wouldn't have any idea where to start...and then there's the issue of actually finding them. SIGH.
Re: Meeting Hideo Kojima EDIT: Now with pic spam
I haven't played it myself, but a lot of my friends have suggested that I try Metal Gear Solid. It's incredibly easy to find too.

Ok so because of this post... and because I have a ps3, I went and rented Metal Gear Solid 4! OMG! I must say... One of the best games I have EVER played!! I didn't understand the deep storyline stuff but OMG! I suck at shooting games but this game is great! I beat it within 23 hours! I laughed, cried, got grossed out, confused, and everything else! Fantastic game! Now I understand why ps3 is better than xbox360.
Thanks Nobiyuki77 for this post! I will never look at video games the same way EVER.

Hey Nobi, all those pictures were making the thread a real pain to look at, so I made them into links. It was really aggravating to scroll down to the bottom to read the new post and have the screen keep shifting as another pic was loaded.

'Sokay, I didn't mind it at first. It just got awkward when looking at new posts, and I figured that by now most people have seen them.
