Who would play Luna?
Anyway, I would only want a live action film of Lunar if I could date the actress who plays either Luna, Jessica, Lucia, or Mia. *ppphhhbbbttt*
PS: I'll go for Natilie Portman Mostly because she at least seems to be the smart actress of hollywood.

Hmmm...the concept of a Lunar movie is interesting but I believe it would work best as an animated film.
Wait.
Let me elaborate on that...an old school, hand-drawn animated film created by some folks like Don Bluth who can do dark animation. (Disney's Sleeping Beauty, The Secret of NIMH, for example)
CGI is the new horse everyone is riding to town on, but I really miss the beauty of hand-drawn cell animation.

I think Lunar would be ok as an animated film. Live action, hmm...
I think I could pull of a decent Alex tobe honest. I'm a little older but with a shave and contacts and a little hair work I'm quite a replica. I also have a lot of amateur acting experience and am told that I have quite a bit of talent (not to brag, like all actors with any degree of skill I'm horribly critical of myself and think my skill is mediocre at best).
I think most of the cast should be unknowns, and while I like Sean Connery as Mel (or Laike, he fits that bill too) he doesn't really have the build.
If it were aniimated, then so long as Steven Blum is in there somewhere I think we're ok.

I wonder what ninjas will see in the final days
Give Viggo some respect too, he's too eloquent an actor to give the roll of Kyle to. Colin Ferral on the other hand, would be an excellent Kyle.GhaleonOne wrote:Either live action or anime. I made a post like this about 2-3 years ago here, basically asking how folks would turn Lunar into a movie. Most agreed that it would need to be done in installments similiar to Lord of the Rings if it were a live action movie.
Some possible idea's for actors:
Ghaleon - Christopher Lambert
Kyle - Viggo Mortensen (sp?) perhaps
Lucia - Emmy Rossum WOULD actually work I think.
Mel - Sean Connery
Leo - Adrian Paul.
Mia - Natalie Portman
Jean - Jessica Alba
Jessica - Kiera Knightley
Dyne - Peter Wiegfried
Borgan - If he were still alive, Rodney Dangerfield would fit the bill IMO. That's no discredit to him, I just think he could pull off the big man well.
'Tis all I can think off of the top of my head.
If I were to split the games into movies it would be:
Lunar TSS Movie 1: Beginning (with some cool intro explaining some of the mythos of Lunar such as Althena and the Blue Star, with the same background song that plays during the text before the game shows you Alex in TSS) through Ghaleon's betrayal.
Lunar TSS Movie 2: Meeting the Dragons
Lunar TSS Movie 3: Becoming a Dragonmaster and defeating Ghaleon.
---
Lunar EB Movie 1: Intro through Ghaleon's introduction
Lunar EB Movie 2: Starts with the group at the bottom of the Mystic Ruins speaking to the fairies through Nall rescuing you from Pentagulia. It would end with Nall giving a good dramatic speech about needing to unseal the dragons.
Lunar EB Movie 3: Where 2 left off through the Zophar's resurrection (longest movie of the series)
Lunar EB Movie 4: Starts off in Vane after Lucia sends you away through the end of EB's epilouge.
Just my take on how the movies could be done.
I would never see it until I could rent it...

I would have to say here that I would much prefere an anime series to just a movie. Though they would have to keep to the style. As far as live action goes... well, only if it were done well. Though I agree with G1's casting... Viggo as Kyle? YES!!!
*Erhem* That is... I agree muchly with her here. I would love to see a hand-drawn animated film if it was to be movie only.
Karthur?? I didn't know you were here! Heya!Karthur wrote:...an old school, hand-drawn animated film created by some folks like Don Bluth who can do dark animation. (Disney's Sleeping Beauty, The Secret of NIMH, for example)
