Generic RPGs
Quickly, I need everyones help! I need the most cliche RPG ideas that you can think of. Reason being, I'm designing an RPG now that makes fun of the generic over used ideas that go mostly into RPGs these days. So what I need is what makes a good RPG cliche?

I completely forgot about this list! It's perfect simply because I can just take every step towards including everything on the list into the game.DevNall wrote:Have you checked the list?

But, that list in particular is really good. They did a great job of using information from many different RPG series. KF

I love that list. One of my favorites is the old man one.
The hero will be a young pre-teen or young teenager, and most experienced die hard soldiers who have fought in many wars are only 19, considered washed up old men, and step aside gladely for the younger generation. (I regergitated that in my own words.)

Omg, I love scrubs Well I have normal tv, no cable or anything so it is on channel 13 (NBC) at like 11:00pm on weekdays. Otherwise if i go to a friends house I will watch it there. Oooo, I think I have seen this list before, I only checked it a bit, a quick glance. But I will go over it too see what ones I know.
Success is measured not by the number of trials you overcome, but the difference you can make with what you have learned from them.~rpgman~

The early parts of the list are extremely funny, with things like "No! My beloved peasant village!"
However, we can easily see that as the list goes on, it gets nerdier... and just plain unfunny.
Yawn. And it's only true sometimes.165. Key Item Rule
Never discard, sell, or otherwise remove permamently from your possession any items you begin the game with or acquire within the first town. This is especially true for items that seem to have no practical use, because of...
166. The Law of Inverse Practicality (Key Item Corollary)
Any item that you can acquire will have some sort of purpose. Those that seem to be useless and have no practical value at all, always tend to have great power later on. The earlier you get the item, the later in the game it will be used. The longer the span of time between acquisition and use, the more powerful the item is.
